诗的语言 On poem

诗歌可以用最少的几句话把最复杂的事情讲清楚。在诗歌里，充满着语言的韵律之美。很少读英文诗，没想到和中文诗一样有趣。常见词汇在诗歌中新鲜组合，碰撞出新的火花。

圣诞节准备给孩子们买本诗集，给自己也买一两本。明年可以开始读莎士比亚的十四行诗也说不定。

◆ 01 The Coming of the Ship

>> It is not a garment I cast off this day, but a skin that I tear with my own hands.

◆ 02 On Love

>> Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.

The first time when I saw her being meek that she might attain height.

The second time when I saw her limping before the crippled.

The third time when she was given to choose between the hard and the easy, and she chose the easy.

The fourth time when she committed a wrong, and comforted herself that others also commit wrong.

窗外雨声潺潺，突然想到十多年前常听何勇的《幽灵》，里头有一段旁白，令人动容：朋友们 你们听到这个是幽灵这是一首非常著名的民族乐曲我给它起名叫幽灵 给它改编了感谢原来的原作者我把它送给在我生命中出现的许多很重要的人他们已经不在了 这个世界我很想念他们这是一个礼物在我睡着的时候他们与我共舞在那张名为《垃圾场》的专辑里我最爱这首，远远超过《钟鼓楼》和《非洲梦》以及《姑娘，漂亮》，原因无它，何勇赋予了它新生，情真意切，余音缭绕！扯得有些远，同理，感谢冰心以及所有翻译界的翘楚，每一位读外文作品的读者心里应该都有一份名单......先生说她自己不精通英文，所以轻易不敢作翻译工作，尤其译诗。她说她的译文只能汲取了大海中的一滴，实在是自谦！我起先看完中文版还会粗略瞄瞄英文版，后来越读中文版越发现先生的谦逊，让我自惭形秽！想起以前读书时，特别期待翻译课，也不知道哪里来的自信，总以为翻译课成绩会特别理想，结果每次都被打击得无地自容。所以，《先知》还没读完我就摒弃了英文版，水平有限，读来总是词不达意，索性弃了来好好体会中文之美，虽然哲理诗一如既往地令我感到难以消化……因为伟大，所以费解，没毛病！
