《百年孤独》_精选读后感100字
I too found the book weird and irritating for more than one reasons when I began but I continued reading because I had heard a great deal about the book. Very soon, I started liking the book.
This is truly magical. Despite the convoluted plot, so many characters, no suspense (He will always go backwards. You know the result but you do not know how it happened) and confusing names (Yes, so many Aurelianos, Amarantas, Ursulas etc), you will fall in love with the book. Just put some more effort if you are really keen on appreciating it.
One thing I noticed, was that the reader falls into the trap set by the author. You will believe in souls talking, flying fish, incessant rains for many years but you wont believe in simple things like someone eating or bathing. That is what people call magical realism. I felt it through out the book and it was one of the best reading experiences. If you want to feel what magical realism is, read this book.
You will live through the solitude of each and every character. You can feel it. Everyone seems so lonely in a big family. How can that even be possible?
Apart from that, the book throws light on political issues of Latin America. Civil war and entry of banana company are two major issues raised here. The way these issues are brought up, is amazing.
