《目送:龙应台“人生三书”之三》_读后感100字

A river runs through it
子皿 20191210
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the worlds great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.I am haunted by waters.”― Norman Maclean

Part III of the book starts each little story with the same dream, of me and Dad, of the agonizing long journey going “home”. Comparing with Long’s other two books in the series, the last episode was the most  emotional part of the journey. The unseen battles bobbing under the seemingly slow and quiet surface of life: the bitterness of ageing, of losing; the fighting for dignity and respect. One day, the seemingly unbearable farewell sneaked in: Dad was gone, Mum got dementia, and “I” was alone.
Like Yeats said, we all will wither into truth with time, like a river flowing into the sea. We will become part of the ocean, and I will meet you there.
