《老人与海（纯爱·英文馆）》读后感100字

Santiago is a simple fishman, he gets no luck for 84 days, sails out along on the 85th day he catchs the biggest fish in his life. The big fish is so much stronger than the old man, and drags him far from the shore for three days. The old man endures constant pain from the fishing line. Whenever the fish lunges, leaps, or makes a dash for freedom, the cord cuts Santiago badly. Although wounded and weary, the old man feels a deep empathy and admiration for the marlin, his brother in suffering, strength, and resolve. The old man struggles and suffers in order to stay undefeated. He beats all odds and fights all battles with the thought that he can and will win. And so he does.

On the way back the big fishs wound attracts sharks, although the old man is so tired, he keeps encourging himself and fighting off the sharks until a pack of them have finished all the meat of this brother fish. Santiago feels sorry for his brother and himself, but soon he accepts his defeat, life still needs to go on.

The old man was strong once, age has taken his physical power but strengthened his heart,  he is a man who’s passion gives him strength to fight his internal and external battles.
