本书从五个方面介绍国际物流这个複杂而动态的学科：

柳林《国际物流管理》

第一部分，综述国内外有关国际物流的理论与实践，提出当前国际物流管理领域有待深入探讨的内个问题；第二部分，简要回顾现代物流管理的基础知识，从现代物流的定义出发，分析它所涉及的活动要素、分类、重要学说及其与新经济条件下电子商务的密切关係；第三部分，阐述国际物流的兴起背景、标準化、系统模型及有关中介，对国际物流口岸和中国入世后有关物流的市场闪入承诺表做了精要概括；第四部分，从国际运输管理、物流信息管理、国际物流中心管理、全球供应链管理、第三方物流管理、单证管理等方面找出我国国际物流管理与世界高水平物流需求之间存在的主要差距；第五部分，提出发展我国国际物流的战略措施。

柳林，男，1974年生，河北沧州人。先后获得西南交通大学工学学位和西南财经大学经济学硕士学位，有扎实的国际物流管理理论基础和丰富的教学经验。现为中央某报特约记者，撰写了很多经济评论文章，在国内学术期刊上亦有不少论文登载，至今已主编并出版着作三部，总计一百余万字。
