SYLLABUS The core syllabus for the Look Ahead corpus is based on the Council of Europes revised and extended Waystage and Threshold specifications (Council of Europe Press, 1991),the most comprehensive statement of language learning objectives yet available for the1990sand the new millennium. ENGLISH LANGUAGE EXAMINATIONS New examinations at Waystage level (the Key English Test-KET)and Threshold level (the revised Preliminary English-PET)have been devised by UCLES based on these latest specifications.
